Mobile MecánicoThe mechanic comes to you

What can a mobile mechanic fix?

A mobile mechanic handles most maintenance, brake, battery and starting jobs wherever your car is. Jobs that need the whole car lifted or the engine pulled go to a shop.

What almost always gets done on site

Brake pads and rotors, battery, alternator, starter, oil and filters, plugs and coils, hoses and belts, and scan tool diagnostics. These are jobs that fit in a tool truck.

What depends

Water pumps, thermostats, sensors and suspension parts can be done on many cars, but not all. It depends on how much has to come apart and on the space. Ask about your model.

What goes to a shop

Pulling a transmission or an engine and big welding or body jobs need a lift and more time. A good mobile mechanic tells you on the call instead of trying it on the street.

Where they can work

Your driveway, the parking lot at work, or the street if it is safe. Some buildings and communities do not allow repair work. Check first so nobody asks you to move halfway through.

Common questions

Do they work on diesel trucks?

Some do. The list has a separate section for diesel and trucks.

Can they check a car before I buy it?

Many do pre purchase inspections. Ask whether they will go to the seller.
